Caja del Rio Trailride

The Caja del Rio trailride on Saturday, June 16th, was a wonderful day – and ride. We met at the Headquarters Well at 9 am and drove the remaining 5 miles on FR 24 to the 1100 Well. Eight riders made the 8-mile loop up Ortiz Mountain trail, down to the 700 Well, and back to the 1100. We walked, trotted, and loped along a jeep trail, seeing gorgeous views. This ride was an appetizer for the Caja Endurance and Fun Ride on August 18. Donations to the Caja Trail Fund are most welcome.
