2009 NNMHA Open Shows

The trail class will last 3 hours to allow everyone time to get there between classes and lunch. It runs on a first come first served basis so be sure to plan your time for taking the class. Winners – please check with the office to see if you have a prize to collect after the show. Dress Code – Presentation is an important part of the showing experience. Short sleeved shirts, tennis shoes, t-shirts are for the practice arena…long sleeved shirts, a hat, jeans or britches, and boots…all shined up and pretty are good for the arena.

*Does not count toward HP Awards On the registration form everyone must declare a division in which they will earn points for each show. - Aged divisions – are determined by the age of the rider as of January 1, 2009.
- Novice – rider must not have won more than three first places in specific discipline, in showing career in open shows, playdays, or breed shows. Discipline examples are Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, etc… For example, once you have won three first places in a Western Pleasure class you are not eligible to show as a Novice any longer in that class, but you may show in any other Novice classes that you have not won three first places in. Please use the honor system when determining rider status

Class Fee: $10 Members, $12 Non-Members Office Fee: $2 Waived for Members
Stall Rental: Day Fee: $2.50 (member) $5.00 (non-member) Overnight Rental: $10. Please call 471-6654 in advance of the show to reserve overnight stalls. Day stall rental is made when registering for class.
Concession stand open from 8:00 – 4:00. Running water and portapotties will be available. No dogs or stallions, please. All classes will be based on AQHA guidelines as modified by NNMHA. Judge’s decisions are final. All disputes are to be submitted to the show committee in writing for review.
NNMHA memberships may be purchased prior to or at the show. Individual, $20, Family, $25 For an application go to www.nnmha.com click on membership.
High Point awards will be given in two divisions; youth – under 18, and adult, in English and western. High Point and High Point Reserve will be awarded for each show. Ribbons for 1st – 6th in each class. The NNMHA OPEN SHOWS take place at the arena 3233 W. Rodeo Road, between the Rodeo Grounds and the Chavez Center.
