Flashy Sorrel/Tobiano 9 year old registered American Paint “Poco Bean” Great-Grandson to Poco Bueno
This horse is a people-friendly well-trained horse that can do it all. He clips, he loads, he ground ties, he can cut and rate cattle, has been roped off of, and he opens gates both ways: on “command” with his nose: “Poco: open the gate”; or the “regular” way where we lean over and he moves to leg cues and WE unlatch the gate. We’ve taken him horse camping, and he goes over water and bridges, and through dense forest, and through man-made obstacle courses. Nothing bothers him on the trail; and he will go anywhere you ask him to go. This horse has cow in him; just ride him and watch him go. I’ve shown him in Western pleasure horse shows and won. He has a wonderful floating lope and a beautiful eye-catching extended trot. He has been taught to spin and he can probably be taught many more things. He is an anxious learner. His ground manners are impeccable, except for one fault: he is so happy to see you, he likes to lick you! He has had no health issue, never been lame and requires no special shoeing or supplements. On a lighter note: I taught him how to “bow” for treats”, and I suspect he can be taught many more “tricks”. He’s a fun ride; not for a beginner. He’s for people who love to get out on the trail or would be a great range pony to work cattle. Heck: he’d LOVE to be a drill team horse! The fun of it all for him! I’ve had him in rain, hail and snow in the mountains. He likes other horses and people. Not a sour horse at all. He’s about 15-2 hands; and a gelding. Reason for selling:
I am working full time, and have 3 other horses. With working full time, it’s difficult for me to keep all 3 horses ridden myself. I would like to see this horse placed with someone who will use him and appreciate him for his potential. I’ve owned him for 3 years, and it will be hard to let him go. He’s a real nice horse. My herd likes him, I like him, and I want someone that will ride him and like him for who he is. I am asking $4500. Contact: drjoaninsf@msn.com

Cinco de Karome 9 year old gelding, Arabian/Appaloosa Karome is double registered, very well trained, calm, collected and cool. He has over 700 endurance miles, and approximately 350 competitive trail miles. He has been ridden in the Pecos back country extensively. He has seen everything, done everything. Hobbles, pickets, stands tied to the trailer. He travels well, and takes very good care of himself. Bridges, gates and water crossings are no problem. This is a big horse, 15.3, well suited for a heavy weight rider, but loves children. He would be a perfect horse for a non-horsie spouse to ride along with. Very surefooted and powerful, not afraid of anything (except maybe grouse) Excellent ground manners, gets along with everyone. VERY smart, he is into everything trying to help. He has been an excellent riding companion, but is just too laid back and quiet for endurance competitions. He loves the social aspect of going for rides in groups, but turns into a mopey teenager after 30 miles or so. I would love to see him in a home where he is used. $2500 to the right home.
