Cowhorse Clinic With Blue Allen

This was the first time we’ve tried doing a cow clinic in the arena. Everything worked out perfectly. When it got too hot, it rained lightly for a while. When the dirt was too soggy, Barbara disked it to make excellent footing. Soft enough for a few of us to land in without harm :>)

Everyone got a lot out of Blue’s clear instructions…stop, stop, stop before the turn. We had some fancy cutting horses and even a first timer western pleasure show horse going after the cows. Steve Price’s cows, often featured in movies, were just spry enough to keep us busy and soft enough to not let anything crazy happen.

This was a great clinic for the pro’s to tune up and the beginners to safely get a chance to work a cow. We all had a ton of fun. Stay tuned for the next date. And thanks to Eldon, Ryan, Denise and Barbara for going the extra distance to make this happen.
