Use of two arenas, the office trailer and grounds.
Only members are allowed to ride on the grounds (except at shows).

Monthly Meetings

Our members and their friends meet the last Wednesday of every month (except September and December) at The South Side Plaza Cafe, 3011 Cerrillos Road, in The Quality Inn, 2 blocks south of Siler Road.

Our Guest Speakers are from all sorts of Equine fields including Vets, Farriers, Chiropractors, Bodyworkers, Trainers, Dentists, Competitors and Authors. Please let Sandy know if there is someone you think would be good as a guest speaker....write nnmha@earthlink.net or call 424-7592

 

What We've Been Up To In 2007

 

In 2007 we were able to accomplish the following:

  • 3 OPEN Horse Shows — Another huge success!!
  • Monthly Ridge Riders Trail Rides – rivers, waterfalls, lakes and more!
  • Every month a four-color newsletter
  • Clinics/support. Endurance Ride at Caja del Rio, sponsorship
  • Held several Dressage Clinics and Schooling Shows in the arena
  • Arena used for the annual 4-H Horse show
  • County Fair — Arena and parking, recognized by Fair Board with placket
  • Rented out over $1,500 worth of stalls to cowboys and cowgirls during the Rodeo de Santa Fe
  • Overnight boarding program received visitors from all over the nation. Carefully watched over by our Caretaker, Barbara Rogers and her family.
  • Eldon and Karen manned the NM Horse Council Horse Fair Booth
  • Awarded the Annual College Scholarship award to Chase Massengill $500
  • Memberships in the Equestrian Clearing House. Chamber of Commerce, extension office
  • Continued to improve our website at www.nnmha.com

We're over 115 members strong with almost every type of riding represented. We've got endurance, reiners, working cow, trail riders, driving, minis, dressage, jumpers and just plain old, I-wanna-ride riders.
